Information on how to show a PCX file topcard and still keep your owner infomation specified in Setup. This file contains some sample PCX files as well as how to show your information on the Topcard screen as well.

I recently came across an interesting feature of the palmtops. I was trying to figure out how to show a PCX file and still be able to show my Identification Information I typed into Setup.
I knew that when I displayed the original Topcard.pcx (located on D drive) I would see my information in the center of the screen as well as the date and time. BTW, I am referring to on a 200lx. This feature I'll be discussing does also work on the 100lx though.
After many trials and renames, I came across the perfect combination. Here's what you do.
First, you need to make a "_SYS" directory on either the A or C drive. Then put whatever Pcx file you want as your topcard in that directory and name it TOPCARD.PCX. Then under Setup, chose the pcx. Make sure the "Show Picture" box is checked.
That's it.
I've been working on several ideas and will gladly custom make these for anyone desiring them. Just send me a picture (or idea) and I'll send back what I've come up with. The pcx's I've included here are general and can be modified to suit your tastes. It's free, I just would like to hear from anyone who has comments. I answer ALL email. :-)
I am also looking for a pcx editor for the palmtop. I am really interested
in one specially designed for the palmtop. Requirements are as follows:
Small in size.
Works strictly with the PCX format.
Uses the "Menu" key to access pull down menu features
Setup like the "Datacomm" feature (full screen editinot program yet...I working on it though. <G>
